COLD-EEZE maker reports financial results

The Quigley Corporation (QGLY) reported net sales of $11.8 million for the first quarter of 2005, a 22.4% increase over the $9.6 million reported for the same period in 2004.

The increase in net sales for the first quarter of 2005 reflects a 39.7% increase in the company's Cold Remedy segment. Net sales of the health and wellness segment include an increase of 15.8% in the segment's European sales as compared to 2004. This increase partially offset an overall decrease in health and wellness segment sales of 9% for the first quarter, due to a decline in the number of active domestic independent representatives.
