New research in the area of hepatitis c virus detailed

Investigators in ROC, the United States and Italy have published new hepatitis c virus data.

Study 1: HCV treatment causes changes in tear dynamics and changes on ocular surface.

"To evaluate symptoms and changes in tear function and the ocular surface with interferon and ribavirin therapy for chronic hepatitis C, nineteen patients with chronic hepatitis C underwent a course of interferon alfa-2b/ribavirin therapy. Nineteen age-and sex-matched controls participated in this prospective study," reported researchers from Taiwan in a recent issue of Cornea.
