Pegasys plus Copegus trial effective in reducing viral levels in hepatitis C

Roche announced plans to present interim results from a study showing that retreatment with Pegasys (peginterferon alpha-2a) plus Copegus (ribavirin, USP) reduced viral levels in hepatitis C patients for whom treatment with Peg-Intron (peginterferon alpha-2b) plus Rebetol (ribavirin, USP) had failed.

Interim study results from the Retreatment with Pegasys in Patients Not Responding to Peg-Intron Therapy (REPEAT) study was presented at the 56th annual meeting of the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD).
