Apoptosis data are the focus of recent research from Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States.

Study 1: Recent research from Japan has documented the involvement of tumor necrosis factor-related apoptosis-inducing ligand (TRAIL) and TRAIL receptors (TRAIL-Rs) in viral hepatic diseases.
