Hepatitis B virus infections clarified using a probability Cellular Automaton model

According to recent research published in the journal Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications, hepatitis B virus (HBV) infections can be clarified using a probability Cellular Automaton model.

"The existing models of HBV infection dynamics are based on the assumption that the of viruses and cells are uniformly mixed. However, the real virus infection system is actually not homogeneous and some spatial factors might play a nontrivial role in governing the development of HBV infection and its outcome," wrote X.
