Study 1: Recent research from the United States has reported that hepatitis C virus (HCV) core gene stimulates anti-core cytotoxic T lymphocyte (CTL) activity.
"Chronic HCV infection cases resistant to conventional therapies might be treated by immunotherapy as CTLs are the main mechanism through which viral infections are cleared.
