Study 1: According to recently published research from Sweden, hepatitis C virus (HCV) in hemodialysis responds to pegylated interferon and ribavirin.
"Standard therapy for chronic HCV is pegylated interferon in combination with ribavirin. There is limited experience with either drug in dialysis [end stage renal disease (ESRD)]," wrote A. Bruchfeld and colleagues, Karolinska Institute.
