Chronic hepatitis B and C infections detected by lymph node sonography

Recently published research from Taiwan has chronicled the imaging of chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) and hepatitis C virus (HCV) infections by lymph node sonography.

"Enlarged lymph nodes in the hepatoduodenal ligament are prevalent in chronic infection with HBV or HCV; however, the clinical significance of this sonographic finding in an endemic area is unknown," wrote H.T. Kuo and colleagues, Chi Mei Medical Center.
