According to a study from the United States, "On December 13, 2002, Pediarix, a combination vaccine that contains diphtheria, tetanus, acellular pertussis; hepatitis B; and inactivated polio vaccines, was licensed by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for use in the primary immunization series. Use of this vaccine decreases the number of injections that children receive when completing their primary immunization series at the two-, four-, and six-month well-child visits."
