Hepatitis C virus susceptibility is not influenced by CCRS Delta 32 mutation

In a recent publication, researchers from India reported that CCRS Delta 32 mutation does not influence the susceptibility to hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection, severity of liver disease and response to therapy in patients with chronic hepatitis C.

A. Goyal and colleagues, University of Delhi, wrote that the study was done "to study whether CCR5 Delta 32 mutation was associated with viral infection and severity of liver disease."
