New hepatitis cell biology data have been reported by scientists at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai Institute of Immunology

A new study, "(-)-Epigallocatechin-3-gallate protects mice from concanavalin A-induced hepatitis through suppressing immune-mediated liver injury," is now available. According to recent research from People's Republic of China, "(-)-Epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) is the major active component of green tea. Increasing evidence has suggested that EGCG exhibits anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant and immunosuppressive effects."
