Research from Italy, the United Kingdom and Brazil yields new hepatitis C virus findings

Hepatitis c virus is the focus of recent research from Italy, the United Kingdom and Brazil.

Study 1: Research findings, "Is HCV infection associated with liver steatosis also in children," are discussed in a new report. According to recent research published in the Journal of Hepatology, "Prevalence and significance of steatosis in children with chronic hepatitis C are not well defined. We analysed the prevalence of steatosis in children with chronic hepatitis C and its relationship with clinical, laboratory features and response to interferon."
