"From January 2001 to April 2006, we treated 1.5 HCV cirrhotics with PEG-IFN alpha-2b (1.5 mu g/kg/week) and ribavirin (RIBA; >= 10.6 mg/kg/d). Their mean age was 51.5 years. There were 9 men. In 6 cases the genotype was 1b. With Child-Pugh scores >= 9 (range 9-12) and Model for End-Stage Liver Disease (MELD) scores >= 14 (range, 14-22)....
