New findings reported from University of Heidelberg, Department of Molecular Virology describe advances in hepatitis C virus

Scientists discuss in 'Structural and functional characterization of nonstructural protein 2 for its role in hepatitis C virus assembly' new findings in hepatitis C virus. "The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is a flavivirus replicating in the cytoplasm of infected cells. The HCV genome is a single-stranded RNA encoding a polyprotein that is cleaved by cellular and viral proteases into 10 different products," scientists in Heidelberg, Germany report.
