In this recently published article, scientists in Kanagawa, Japan conducted a study "To elucidate the efficacy of interferon (IFN)-beta induction therapy followed by pegylated IFN alpha and ribavirin for chronic infection with hepatitis C virus (HCV). Patients chronically infected with HCV genotype 1, high titer were enrolled."
