2011 OCT 3 -- Researchers detail in "Association of human cytomegalovirus viremia with human leukocyte antigens in liver transplantation recipients," new data in Cytomegalovirus. According to the authors of a study from Hangzhou, People's Republic of China, "Human cytomegalovirus (HCMV) reactivation is a common complication after liver transplantation (LT). Here, we investigated whether human leukocyte antigen (HLA)-matching was related to HCMV infection and subsequent graft failure after LT for hepatitis B virus cirrhosis."
