The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia announces provider contract

Independence Blue Cross (IBC) and The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia announced that an agreement has been reached on terms of a new, long-term provider contract.

Officials for IBC and The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia applauded the agreement, noting that both sides entered negotiations with an awareness of the difficult economic issues that confront the entire health care community.

G. Fred DiBona, Jr., president and chief executive officer of Independence Blue Cross, said he was very pleased that IBC's members will continue to have access to the care provided at Children's Hospital.
