McKesson receives approval to offer Medicare drug discount card

McKesson Corp. (MCK) has received approval from the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) for its own prescription drug discount card for Medicare beneficiaries.

McKesson's Rx Savings Access card provides competitive discounts on covered brand name prescription drugs, as well as generics.

"By offering discounts on all brand name and prescription drugs covered by CMS, the Rx Savings Access card makes it easy for Medicare beneficiaries to obtain whatever medicines they need, from the pharmacists in our network they've come to trust," said Paul Julian, president, McKesson Supply Solutions.
