New tuberculosis study findings have been reported by researchers in New Zealand, United Kingdom and United States.

Study 1: A new study, "Inactivation of CD4+ CD25+ regulatory T cells during early mycobacterial infection increases cytokine production but does not affect pathogen load," is now available. "Mycobacterium tuberculosis uses numerous mechanisms to avoid elimination by the infected host.
