Study 1: Current study results from the report, "Associations between two single nucleotide polymorphisms of adiponectin gene and coronary artery diseases," have been published. "Adiponectin, an adipocyte-secreted protein, is known to have anti-atherogenic, anti-inflammatory and anti-diabetic properties and its serum levels are decreased in obesity, type 2 diabetes, and coronary artery disease.
