MedRisk's ECB Completes Preliminary Validation of a Spanish-Language Patient Satisfaction Measurement Tool for Physical Therapy Care

MedRisk's Expert Clinical Benchmarks(R) (ECB) recently completed the preliminary validation of its Spanish-language MedRisk Instrument for Measuring Physical Therapy Patient Satisfaction. Originally developed in English in 2001, the tool was converted for Spanish-speaking patients to enhance communication and ensure their representation in future quality assurance analyses.

A total of 203 patients participated in the research study, which involved a 20-item survey given after the patient completed a course of outpatient physical therapy care in the New York City area. Findings support the reliability and validity of measures obtained from the English version.
