Fauquier Health System Leading the Country in Addressing Nation's $13 Billion Patient Drug Error Challenge Using New Automation

Fauquier Health System of Warrenton, Virginia has announced that it is the first health system in the nation to pilot a system that will improve patient safety by automatically incorporating a patient's current prescription information into the hospital environment.

While some hospitals are beginning to use internal electronic medical reconciliation, Fauquier will be the first to also track external records.
