AMA Foundation Names Andrew W. Gurman, M.D. to Board of Directors

The American Medical Association (AMA) Foundation recently announced the nomination of Andrew W. Gurman, M.D. to its Board of Directors.

Andrew W. Gurman, M.D., an orthopaedic hand surgeon from Altoona, Pa., was elected vice speaker of the AMA House of Delegates in June 2007. He is a delegate from Pennsylvania and has been a member of the Pennsylvania delegation for 16 years.

Dr. Gurman currently serves on the AMA Board of Trustees Audit as board liaison to the Advisory Committee on Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Issues. Dr. Gurman served as the speaker of the House of Delegates of the Pennsylvania Medical Society (PMS), and was a member of...
