Recently, researchers at the University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business conducted a study of U.S. hospitals and discovered that poor communication has cost the nation $12 billion a year. The study recommended solutions, including location-based technology, to improve communication and help identify caregiver locations. The results of this study come at a time when Versus Technology, Inc. will be highlighting efficiency gains, improved communication and workflow optimization as a result of Versus' enterprise real-time locating system (RTLS) at the Healthcare Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS) conference in Chicago, IL April 5-8, 2009.
