Washington state medical center submits plans to build hospital in Issaquah

Overlake Hospital Medical Center submitted a certificate of need application to the Washington State Department of Health to build a 120-bed hospital in Issaquah.

The hospital will offer all services, including a level two neonatal nursery. The 120 beds will be implemented in two phases, with 86 beds in 2009 and the remaining 34 beds added in 2015.

Zimmer Gunsul Frasca (ZGF) Partnership was selected as the architect to design the 215,179 square-foot hospital on four floors with structured parking. Additional land will also be secured for a future medical office building. Overlake will invest $203 million for the project.
