Medicare Modernization Act was focus of group purchasing group's conference

Managed Health Care Associates (MHA), a group purchasing organization (GPO) in the long term care, and alternate site market place, held their 2nd Annual Business Summit in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Approximately 150 pharmacy owners and 75 manufacturers attended the 2-day event during which topics ranged from legislative issues, to financial management in the long term care pharmacy setting.

The focus of the event was the Medicare Modernization Act, and it's pending impact. Several industry experts were on hand to speak about the final rules, their impact on the industry, association perspectives, lobbying strategies, and what pharmacy owners are doing to...
