Hospital corporation cooperating with U.S. HIPAA-based subpoena for documents

Tenet Healthcare Corporation (THC) said it is cooperating with a subpoena for documents it has received from the U.S. attorney's office in Memphis, Tennessee, concerning physician relocation agreements entered into since January 1, 1999, at Tenet's Saint Francis Hospital in Memphis.

The subpoena was issued under provisions of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA).
