Investigators at University of Western Australia zero in on health policy

Data detailed in "Modelling changes in the determinants of PHI utilisation in Western Australia across five health care policy eras between 1981 and 2001" have been presented. "In this study of the Western Australian population we analysed changes in the demographic determinants of PHI use across health policy eras. Specifically, we aimed to predict the probability that an individual, defined by a pre-determined set of characteristics, would utilise PHI for in-patient hospitalisation in WA in each of five health policy eras spanning 1981-2001," scientists writing in the journal Health Policy report.
