Karmanos Cancer Institute Disappointed With DMC Decision to Initiate Litigation

The Karmanos Cancer Institute is disappointed with the decision of The Detroit Medical Center to initiate litigation while Karmanos has continued to negotiate in good faith with The Detroit Medical Center. Karmanos has honored, and will continue to honor, all of its commitments to The Detroit Medical Center. There is, however, absolutely no statement or prohibition in our agreement with the DMC preventing Karmanos from moving all or part of its clinical cancer operations to the Riverview Hospital site or anywhere else. The lawsuit will be vigorously defended.
