Leading Panamanian Hospital Centro Medico Paitilla to Serve as Hythiam's Initial PROMETA Licensee for Central and South America

Hythiam, Inc. (NASDAQ:HYTM), announced that leading Panamanian medical facility Centro Medico Paitilla has licensed the PROMETA(R) Treatment Programs for alcoholism and stimulant addiction to service the Central and South American marketplace. Panama has a population of approximately 3.2 million people and serves as a major public trading center for the Central and Latin American market. Additionally, Hythiam disclosed that it is in discussions with officials from the public sector in the region to provide government-level coverage for the PROMETA Treatment Programs through the public healthcare system.
