Suicidal Behavior
Research conducted at Oulu University, Department of Psychiatry has provided new information about suicidal behavior

Researchers detail in 'Depression and suicide in epileptic victims: a population-based study of suicide victims during the years 1988-2002 in northern Finland,' new data in suicidal behavior. According to recent research published in the journal Epilepsy & Behavior, "Patients with epilepsy are known to have comorbid affective disorders and a higher risk for suicide compared with the general population. Epilepsy, depression, and suicidal behavior have been shown to have common pathogenic mechanisms in their etiology."
