Findings from Sahlgrenska University, Institute of Biomedicine provide new insights into glioma genetics

New investigation results, 'Oncostatin M-induced genes in human astrocytomas,' are detailed in a study published in International Journal of Oncology. According to recent research published in the International Journal of Oncology, "Oncostatin M (OSM) is a member of the interleukin-6 (IL-6) cytokine family and known to be induced in the nervous system as a result of cell stress. OSM is expressed in most human brain tumors, but the effects on tumor cells are unclear."
