Research from D.O. Kessel and co-authors reveals new findings on angioplasty

New investigation results, 'What is the evidence for the efficacy of cryoplasty,' are detailed in a study published in Journal of Cardiovascular Surgery. "Cryoplasty is a technique for treating vascular stenosis which combines balloon angioplasty with cold injury. The combination is proposed to reduce the incidence of restenosis by inhibition of neointimal hyperplasia," researchers in Leeds, the United Kingdom report.
