The case involves a seven-year-old Vermont boy who was hospitalized after becoming sick from salmonella poisoning. The suit alleges that a pack of peanut butter crackers caused his illness. The suit further alleges that the tainted peanut paste used in the crackers has since been traced to the Peanut Corporation of America (PCA), based in Blakely, Ga.
