Drugstore company partners with CMS to offer Medicare drug coverage education

United Drugs announced that it has partnered with the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to help educate their patients who are among the eligible 6.4 million individuals with limited income and resources and may qualify for the new Medicare prescription drug coverage.

United Drugs is coordinating several educational seminars and conferences in preparation for the time when various prescription drug plans (PDPs) can begin to market and enroll people with Medicare. Additional efforts include providing pharmacies with in-store Medicare ask-for-help materials, general marketing collateral and enrollment application training assistance for pharmacy staff....
