The antioxidant garcinol or L. acidophilus prove potent bactericidals

According to a study from the United States, "Chronic infection with Helicobacter pylori causes peptic ulcers, gastric cancer, and lymphoma. We evaluated the inhibitory effects of the probiotic Lactobacillus acidophilus DDS-1J, the antibiotic clarithromycin, and the natural antioxidants garcinol and Protykin(R) (containing 50% transresveratrol) on Helicobacter pylori strain ATCC 49503.
