U.S. FDA grants approval for oral gingivitis rinse as medical device

Sinclair Pharma plc (SPH.L), a company focused on the acquisition and development of niche patented pharmaceutical products, announced that Decapinol, its oral rinse for the treatment of gingivitis (gum inflammation), has received registration approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as a prescription medical device.

Records indicate that Decapinol is the first new chemical entity approved to help prevent and treat gingivitis in the past 30 years.
