New strategies help physicians make an early diagnosis of spondyloarthritis.

According to recent research from Germany, "The axial spondyloarthritis (SpA) is the most important disease out of the whole group of SPA."

M. Rudwaleit and colleagues, Universitatsmedizin Berlin, wrote, "If a sacroiliitis is clearly detectable by x-rays a diagnosis of ankylosing spondylitis can be made.
