Recent findings illuminate research in cervical cancer

Investigators in the United Kingdom, rtsimoes@rge and castlep@mail have published new cervical cancer data.

Study 1: Human papillomavirus-16 immunity is significantly different during progressive cervical intraepithelial neoplasia.

According to recent research published in the British Journal of Cancer, "Infection with high-risk genital human papillomavirus (HPV) types is a major risk factor for the development of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) and invasive cervical carcinoma."
