Agreement allows AstraZeneca to use TAXIScan technology

Effector Cell Institute, Inc., announced that the company has signed a collaborative research agreement with AstraZeneca. The parties will use Effector Cell's TAXIScan technology with the aim of developing a predictive model for identifying patient populations who will best respond to potential new treatments for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, asthma, and allergy. Under the 3-year agreement, Effector Cell Institute will receive an up-front payment and a yearly fee for the collaboration in addition to certain commercial rights to diagnostics tests and assays.
