New Psoriasis Study Findings Have Been Published by Scientists at Ninewells Hospital and School of Medicine

2011 OCT 19 -- Current study results from the report, "Proteinuria with fumaric acid ester treatment for psoriasis," have been published. According to the authors of recent research from Dundee, United Kingdom, "Fumaric acid esters (FAE) have been used in the treatment of psoriasis for many years. In general, they are regarded as relatively safe compared with other antipsoriatic systemic treatments, with the most notable adverse effects being gastrointestinal upset, lymphopenia and transient flushing."
