Drug discovery firm reports 22.2% decrease in revenues

Albany Molecular Research, Inc., (AMRI) reported financial results for the quarter ending June 30, 2004.

Total revenue for the second quarter of 2004 was $42.0 million, a 22.2% decrease compared to $54.0 million in the second quarter of 2003. Total contract revenue for the second quarter of 2004 was $28.1 million, a 27.6% decrease compared to total contract revenue of $38.8 million during the second quarter of 2003.

Recurring royalties for the second quarter of 2004 were $13.9 million, a decrease of $1.3 million, or 8.6%, from recurring royalties of $15.2 million in the second quarter of 2003. AMRI earns royalties from worldwide sales of the...
