Pharmaceutical IT company closes $3.5M equity funding and announces new appointment

Aegis Analytical Corp., a provider of software solutions and services for pharmaceutical and biotechnology manufacturers, announced the close of $3.5 million in equity financing and the appointment of Robert D. Gills, Jr., as vice president of business development.

The investment round was led by Boulder, Colorado-based Skyland Capital, which was joined by four previous investors - Future Capital AG (Frankfurt, Germany), Lafayette Equity Fund, LP, Merck Capital Ventures, LLC, a subsidiary of Merck & Co., Inc., and 3i, a leading international venture capital company. Aegis has received more than $25 million in funding to date.
