Celgene elects Sol J. Barer, PhD, to chairman of the board

Barer has been chief executive officer since May 1, 2006, a director since March 1994, and is a member of the executive committee of the board of directors. Barer served as president from October 1993 to May 1, 2006, and as chief operating officer from March 1994 to May 1, 2006.
