Axis-Shield 2007 Interims Pre-Close Trading Update

Shield (LSE:ASD, OSE:ASD), the international in-vitro diagnostics company, today issued the following update for the six months ending 30 June 2007, ahead of the Company's close period preceding the Interim Results announcement, expected 30 August 2007. Reported revenues are expected to show growth of approximately 8% in the first six months of 2007 compared to the same period last year, with strong growth in the Point-of-Care and Distribution Divisions being offset by dollar weakness affecting the performance of the Laboratory Division.
