Telik Announces Financial Results for 2008 Second Quarter

Telik, Inc. (NASDAQ:TELK) reported a net loss of $13.6 million, or $0.26 per share, for the second quarter ended June 30, 2008, compared with a net loss of $14.3 million, or $0.27 per share, for the comparable period in 2007. The $13.6 million net loss for the second quarter ended June 30, 2008, includes a $3.1 million impairment charge related to auction rate securities, which is reflected in interest and other income (expense).
