AFCS Forum Workshop Explores Optical Switching and New Solutions for Growing Bandwidth Demands

The Advanced Fiber Connectivity and Switching Forum (AFCS Forum) announced that it will host a workshop at the SUPERCOMM 2009 Conference & Exposition, held October 21-23 at McCormick Place in Chicago, Ill. Organized by Glenn Wellbrock, Director of Backbone Network Design at Verizon, and Dave Rapp, Program Manager at ADC, the workshop will discuss the benefits of physical layer optical switching technology for network operators.
