Study examines pharma product lifecycle management

Competition continues to grow fierce in the pharmaceutical industry as generic brands take the market by storm.

Present day estimates indicate that generic prescriptions have risen to or exceeded the number of branded prescriptions written. To support these estimates a new study produced by researchers at Cutting Edge Information shows that between 1984 and 2002, generics' prescription share has risen steadily from 19% to 47%.
