Data advance knowledge in colorectal cancer research

Colorectal cancer data are the focus of recent research from the United States.

Study 1: A low-fat dietary pattern intervention did not reduce the risk of colorectal cancer in postmenopausal women.

According to researchers at the University of Washington, "Observational studies and polyp recurrence trials are not conclusive regarding the effects of a low-fat dietary pattern on risk of colorectal cancer, necessitating a primary prevention trial." They sought "to evaluate the effects of a low-fat eating pattern on risk of colorectal cancer in postmenopausal women."
