Researchers from Pfizer Inc. report details of new studies and findings in the area of pharmacokinetics

Data detailed in "Clinical pharmacokinetics and gastrointestinal tolerability of a novel extended-release microsphere formulation of azithromycin" have been presented. According to a study from the United States, "A novel oral, extended-release, microsphere formulation of azithromycin (AZSR) was developed to improve the gastrointestinal tolerability profile while allowing administration of an entire treatment course of azithromycin in a single dose.
